In addition to crafting outstanding wines, Hall also offers visitors an array of unique experiences at its modern estate near St. Helena. Hall also features an exquisite tasting room and terrace, where guests can sample their impressive portfolio of wines.
With its commitment to quality, innovation and community, Hall Winery is sure to make your wine-tasting experience one you won’t soon forget. Stop by today and discover why Hall Winery has become one of the most recognized wineries in Napa Valley. Salut!
The Giant Rabbit is something Hall is known for, as it is visible from highway 29 and a recognizable landmark. Fun fact as stated by Hall: “It’s name is “bunny foo foo” and it comes from the children’s’ song little bunny foo foo hopping through the forest. Kathryn Hall used to change it to hopping through the vineyard when she would sing it to her kids, and it became an important part of our winery!”
With a vineyard in the heart of Napa Valley, V. Sattui Winery offers wine lovers an unforgettable experience with its variety of wines made with high-quality grapes. From robust reds and crisp whites to sparkling bottles perfect for special occasions, each sip is an invitation to experience the diverse flavors crafted with care by experienced winemakers. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or just starting your journey into the world of taste, an afternoon spent at V. Sattui Winery will have you savoring every moment.
Dedicated to crafting high quality wines with unique varietals and blends, made from the best grapes in California, this family-owned winery has been producing award-winning wines since 1885. Additionally, V Sattui strives to be stewards of the land by utilizing sustainable farming practices. They are passionate about creating delicious wines that can be enjoyed by all, from casual sippers to connoisseurs.
For all you history buffs, V Sattui has the distinction of having the oldest Madeira in the US. It also happens to be my absolute favorite wine in the entire world (just slightly ahead of Amarone). In their own words:
“Our Madeira is Solera-made, wood-aged wine, fortified with brandy. Our Solera is over 120 years old, one of the oldest in the U.S. The wine is sweet and luscious with flavors of almonds, caramel, toffee and orange zest“Our Madeira is a rich, smooth and nutty after-dinner wine that belies the complex method of preparation that goes into making it. Its blend of ancient port, rich Zinfandel and fine brandy gives it a sweet hazelnut, burnt-caramel flavor that is both intriguing and haunting. Many people who favor great ports and sherries know us solely for this single wine. The solera process is an ingenious system of fractional blending perfected by the Spanish to ensure consistent quality, based on the fact that old wines can be refreshed by the addition of a younger wine, which then acquires the characteristics of the old wine. We begin with what is now a 107-year-old vintage port, a lasting vestige from Vittorio Sattui’s original winery, as the mother, or master-blend. We then fashion primary, secondary and tertiary blends (criaderas), using varying ages of Zinfandel (the oldest is more than 35 years old) and add a little back to the mother to keep it alive, much like sourdough bread making.”
Sattui Winery also offers delicious deli items perfect for taking on a picnic or simply enjoying right in the tasting room. Their Deli has been serving up classic Italian favorites since 1885, brought to life with fresh, local ingredients. From their signature sandwiches and salamis to homemade soups and salads – there’s something for everyone at V. Sattui Winery’s Deli!
